Tom LaPlant
Tom is the founder and President of LaPlant Consulting Group.
Tom has over 30 years of consulting experience in the healthcare industry. Tom has worked with over 40 different providers during his career, from major academic medical centers, regional healthcare systems, community hospitals, small rural hospitals, to home health/home infusion/hospice providers. His particular areas of expertise are revenue cycle assessment and improvement projects, reimbursement recovery projects, interim management, and information technology projects in the healthcare industry.
Prior to founding LaPlant Consulting Group, Tom spent 10 years with Andersen Consulting/Arthur Andersen & Co. as a consultant in the healthcare industry consulting practice. Tom was primarily involved in revenue cycle assessment and improvement projects, as well as various information technology projects.
Tom earned a Bachelors (BA) degree from the University of Washington, and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Michigan, with a concentration in Information Systems. Tom has been a member of HFMA since the early 1990’s.
David Angiuli
David has over 15 years of consulting experience in the healthcare industry with LaPlant Consulting Group. David has worked with numerous healthcare providers from major academic medical centers, regional healthcare systems, children’s hospitals, public district hospitals, physician group practices, to home health/home infusion/hospice providers.
David’s specific areas of expertise include revenue cycle assessment and improvement projects, reimbursement recovery projects, and patient accounting information technology projects in the healthcare industry. David has extensive experience with Medicaid, as well as other payor groups. David has worked with numerous patient accounting systems including Epic, McKesson Star, Cerner Profit, Siemens Invision, Meditech, Mestamed, and McKesson Pathways, as well electronic claim systems such as PREMIS, ePREMIS, MMIS, and the Florida Shared System for Medicare.
Prior to joining LaPlant Consulting Group, David worked for 9 years in the investment and newspaper industries. David holds a bachelor degree (BA) in finance from the University of Washington.
Eric Neil
Eric has over 16 years of revenue cycle, reimbursement, and information technology experience in the healthcare industry, with 14 of those years with LaPlant Consulting Group. Eric has worked with numerous healthcare providers from academic medical centers, children’s hospitals, cancer care centers, public district hospitals, small rural hospitals, physician group practices, and respiratory care/infusion therapy providers.
Eric’s particular areas of expertise include revenue cycle assessment and improvement projects, reimbursement recovery projects, interim management, and information technology projects in the healthcare industry. Eric has worked with numerous systems including Epic, Meditech, McKesson Star, McKesson Horizon Business Insight, McKesson Pathways, Siemens Invision, Phamis/IDX/GE, Mestamed, HBOC Saint, HBOC HAMS, as well as electronic claim/remittance systems such as XactiMed, ePREMIS, PREMIS and SSI.
Prior to joining LaPlant Consulting Group, Eric worked for Lincare as an A/R Supervisor and provider acquisition consultant, and for Virginia Mason Medical Center as a Clinic Billing Supervisor.
Eric holds a bachelor degree in Health Services Administration from Eastern Washington University.
Linda Allord
Linda has over 17 years of revenue cycle and information systems experience in the healthcare industry, with 6 of those years with LaPlant Consulting Group. Linda has extensive experience working with small rural hospitals, for profit hospitals, public district hospitals, and community hospitals.
Linda's expertise includes revenue cycle systems analysis, installation, conversion, upgrades, and support in the healthcare industry, especially with the McKesson Star and Siemens systems. Linda also has experience with PREMIS, ePREMIS, MMIS, SSI, and the Florida Shared System.
Prior to joining LaPlant Consulting Group, Linda worked at Winter Haven Hospital as a Senior Systems Analyst, Universal Health Services as a System Support Analyst, Desert Springs Hospital as a Financial Coordinator, and Whidbey General Hospital as an Information Systems Financial Coordinator.
Linda has completed courses in Accounting and Business Administration at Skagit Valley Community College and classes at Community College of Southern Nevada, as well Siemens, SSI, and McKesson training classes.
Margaret Geisheker
Margaret has over twenty years of healthcare revenue cycle related, primarily in hospitals. Margaret has many years experience working with the McKesson Star System, and has worked in most functions in a Patient Financial Services department.
